Vane MCU movie has a supposed release date – but we're not convinced
Blade's MCU debut may be here sooner than we think, if an unconfirmed (but potentially official) release date from Marvel Studios is to be believed.
Accordant to a post on the formalised Marvel India Twitter account, Wonder Studios' Blade pic is slated to land in theaters on October 7, 2022. If true, that would place the vampiric opposed-hero's next gigantic blind outing 'tween Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Marvels, which will come in July and November 2022.
The tweet in question has been deleted, but various early accounts, including FanDom and Culture Crave, managed to screenshot IT before IT was removed:
Wonder India lists the sackin day of the month of 'Blade' for Oct. 7, 2022... But it's not collectable to start filming until July 2022 🤔(via @Marvel_India) pic.twitter.com/GwJTh9YzENOctober 5, 2021
Curiously, other international Wonder Studios accounts harbour't tweeted out a similar revised release schedule. That's a red sword lily in our Holy Writ, so we would apprise you to acquire this patent announcement with a giant portion of salt for the nonce.
We've reached out to Disney and Marvel for official comment, and we'll update this news show story if we hear back.
Dinky is know about Blade's MCU picture. Right now, the only entropy we have is helmed aside Bassam Tariq. The Mogul Mowgli director confirmed his involvement in an interview earlier this year.

Analysis: sticking out the knife in
Dissimilar most Marvel Studios leaks, there may personify some Truth to this rumor based connected its source. IT's highly unusual for an verified Marvel Studios social media account to jump the gun when it comes to found dates. In this instance, however, that appears to make up the case.
Even so, we're dubious about this see. For one, Wonder Studios has ne'er free two movies within the space of a calendar month. Ordinarily, Marvel waits cardinal to three months betwixt feature film releases. That's been the canonic praxis for the studio dating back up to 2011 when it started to sack two or more movies per class.
The closest that Marvel came to launching two MCU flicks in close proximity was in 2022. Back then, Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame launched within seven weeks of one some other, merely that was necessitated by Captain Marvel's function in the quarter Avengers flick.
As of English hawthorn 2021, Marvel's Blade wasn't due to start motion-picture photography until 2022 either. According to a written report from The Hollywood Newsperson at the time, principal photography on Blade was pushed from September 2021 to July 2022. This was down to the studio's desire to work alongside screenwriter Stacey Osei-Kuffour on shaping its script.
It would constitute impossible for Vane to Be recorded, and for post-production work to be carried out, within a three-month window if its October 2022 release is to represent met. Marvel movies require a lengthy post-production period for VFX, edits and potential reshoots after their initial filming periods. So this would be a no-go from the offse.
It's possible, then, that Marvel India's social media team has merely made a mistake. If somebody idea that Blade was receivable to bug out filming this year, it's plausible that they'd think an October 2022 launch would be possible. Hence stating as much in its MCU liberate date tweet.
Marvel's 2022 slate is already packed enough as it is, too. The studio is planning to release 4 movies and four Disney Plus shows next year, which is already enough content to keep MCU fans happy. Whol altogether, the evidence points towards a simple mistake on Marvel India's disunite, so we can't see Brand landing as soon as 2022.
